  In our society, happiness is an crucial element in our daily life. However, happiness is quite difficult to define. Some people think that happiness replies much on the standard of life. Other people are convinced that to define happiness, we should look into the custom of time, area and so on, standard of life is just one of these factors. For my part, I am in favor of this point of view.

  The first reason that can be seen by every person is that time is a very attractive factor for defining happiness. Each period of time has its own costum, and people in different time have different mind of their life. Concequently, the thoughts about happiness are certainly different. For instance, in ancient China, people regarded working in government as their highest goal of life. And in modern Chinese society, youngsters believe that setting their own business or devoting all time in interests are also can be a good way to achieve their life value. Time can decide it a lot.

  Another factor that we must consider is that different nations have their own explaination of happiness. It is can be known easily that each country has their own native culture and history, and for a long time they have owned the certain way to consider about this world. Way know that in eastern countries, people often get married when they are in twenties because they really think it is a happiness in their life. On the contrary, in some western countries, young people usually consider to be married late. So we may make a conclusion that nation custom is also a fator of defining happiness.

  Further more, personal expierence can affect our defination of happiess. For example, an old man who expierenced the war may advocate that peace is happiness. Others, such as a worker or cahsier, may think that retire at home is happiness. What is happiness is just an individual mind.

  And what is important in achieving happiness? I claim that thinking with optimism is quite useful. Use this method, you may find that everything around you is cute and lovely. Apart from that, make a comparation with others is also make you feel happy. When you think your life is boring, you can imagine how people in Iraq run their life. In a word, optimism heart and correct comparation is the most important two factors in realizing happiness.
